Very Light Pressure
Manual Lymphatic Drainage uses slow, light, rhythmic contact. It should never feel deep, forceful, or painful, and it is intentionally far gentler than a typical therapeutic massage.
Gentle, individualized lymphatic support for appropriate post-surgical recovery needs after your physician or surgeon has cleared massage to begin.
These are simply reasons clients describe when they reach out. They are not a diagnosis, and they are not a promise of any particular result.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is one of the lightest techniques in massage therapy. The contact is slow, rhythmic, and superficial — closer to a gentle stretch of the skin than to muscular work. If you are expecting the pressure of a therapeutic massage, this will feel surprisingly subtle.
That gentleness is exactly what makes it appropriate for some recovering bodies, and it is also why pacing matters so much. We move at the speed your body is comfortable with, and we stop or adjust whenever something does not feel right.
You can learn more about the technique itself on my Manual Lymphatic Drainage page.
Post-surgical work is built on clearance, communication, and comfort. Nothing here is rushed, and nothing is applied from a template.

Recovery is not on a fixed schedule. Session length, pacing, and how much area is addressed are shaped around where you are in your recovery and how you feel that day.
For post-surgical work, clearance from your physician or surgeon is strongly preferred before we begin. I can provide a Medical Clearance & Provider Guidance form for them to complete.
We talk through your recovery stage, any restrictions your provider noted, incision or drain status, and anything that feels tender so the session stays comfortable and appropriate.
Bolsters, pillows, side-lying, semi-reclined, and other supported positions are used so you never have to hold an uncomfortable position during a tender stage of healing.
Responses vary from person to person. Some clients simply describe feeling lighter or more comfortable. Massage does not speed healing, guarantee outcomes, or replace medical care.
Please reschedule and contact your provider if any of the following apply:
This list is not exhaustive and is not a diagnosis. When in doubt, contact your surgeon or an appropriate healthcare provider first.
Recovery is tiring, and comfort matters as much as technique. The setting is quiet, private, and unhurried by design.
Sessions take place in a quiet private studio so a tender, healing body is not navigating a busy or noisy environment.
Supportive positioning, warmth, and pacing are adjusted continuously with your comfort and your provider's guidance in mind.
My Manual Lymph Drainage training was completed through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS) in 2023, and I work within that training and my scope as a Massage Therapist.
Recovery is tiring. The environment is intentionally calm so the session can also feel restorative, not only functional.
Massage therapy does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
A simple, unhurried process built around your clearance, your comfort, and your recovery stage.

Work is slow, light, and unhurried, with frequent check-ins. Incisions, drains, and areas your provider asked me to avoid are respected throughout, and we stop or adjust any time.
Most clients rest, hydrate, and take the remainder of the day gently. When helpful, I may share appropriate general comfort suggestions within my professional scope.
My private home studio is located in Celina, Texas, and clients also travel in from Prosper, Frisco, McKinney, Little Elm, and other nearby communities. The studio is quiet and unhurried by design — one client at a time, with the full address shared when your appointment is confirmed.
